Our junior programs are designed to not only introduce kids to the greatest game ever invented, but to teach them all aspects of the game including history, rules, etiquette, and sportsmanship. We provide quality year round instruction, playing opportunities, and competitions to allow students to showcase their skills. It is our goal to make sure every student we teach comes to love and enjoy the game as we do and to truly make golf a lifetime sport. Our programs have produced over 300 students that were awarded college scholarships since 1983, produced 7 PGA professionals, and helped 7 boys and 3 girls  teams to win a combined total of 30 state championships since 1983, 26 individuals to win state championships since 1984. We currently work with students from schools across Texas and Universities across the Country. Our largest accomplishment however is that we introduced a lifetime sport to thousands of young people who hopefully will continue to pass it on!

Various program curriculums cover topics including golf history, terminology, equipment, safety awareness, rules, etiquette, scoring, fundamentals of the full-swing, fundamentals of the short-game, strategy, and how the game is played.

The Academy

The Heart of Texas Junior Golf Academy was developed to help provide area youth with the opportunity to learn and play golf year round. The program not only introduces the juniors to the game, but helps them develop the skills necessary to play the game, as well as learn rules & etiquette, develop good practice habits, learn responsibility, and how to conduct themselves properly during competitions. The program is a year round program. This enables juniors to participate in other sports and not have to choose between golf and the other sport. Juniors participate as often as they wish. For example some attend class every Saturday while others may only attend twice a month due to conflicts with other sports. The academy is open to all juniors.

The Summer Academy

The Heart of Texas Junior Golf Academy summer program was developed for area youth whose schedule does not permit year round instruction. The program has the same benefits as the year round academy.

After school programs

Our after school program (this program runs from September through May), is designed to introduce students to a lifetime sport, the game of golf. Students will receive instruction in areas such as the full swing, short game, rules, etiquette, and scoring as well as on course instruction. Students in the program can also play the Par 3 course at Lake Waco C.C. for only $4 as often as they wish. Our facilities are both indoor and outdoor so weather is never an issue. Classes are open to all students 10 and up.

Golf in Schools

Teaching golf in schools is by far the best way to assure that all kids regardless of race, color, creed, or economical background are introduced to the game. This program allows schools to teach golf to kids through PE classes. The classes may be taught on the playground or in a gymnasium. Hot Golf Inc. provides all the materials and support and the program is free to the schools.
